Kelley Pelton L.M.T./N.M.T.
is an experienced master level therapist, who has been in the field of physio-therapy since 1990.
Kelley is featured as one of the top experts in the nation for
therapeutic massage and bodywork at
http://www.selfgrowth.com/most_connected_experts.html
She
started at "Desert Samaritan Hospital" in Mesa Arizona working
with "in-patient" and critical care patients in Physical Therapy. The
foundation of her approach lies in Neuromuscular and rehab
therapies, however finding the mind/body connection a fairly
significant factor in the recovery process, she chose to pursue other
avenues of complimentary health care. With her educational background
in anatomy and physiology, Kelley understood the mechanical nature and
balance the human body strives for and went on to study massage therapy
at the "Desert Institute of the Healing Arts", in Tucson Arizona.
It was there in Tucson, that she met Jon Pelton and the two of them began their journey together.
Upon
graduation from this program she worked in several 5 star resorts
including Canyon Ranch Resort in Tucson Az. & The Phantom Horse Spa
and Salon at the Point South Mountain. Her thirst for greater knowledge
from both eastern and western principles, brought the understanding
that each of us has a primal need to live and be treated as a whole
person rather than in parts. Following the gifted leaders in their
fields such as John Barnes P.T. in Sedona Arizona's, Myofascial release
work and the stellar work of Mary Burmeister from the Jin Shin Jyutsu
Foundation in Scottsdale Arizona, Kelley strives to pass along any
knowledge and wisdom she has learned along the way. Her primary
focus is bringing one into balance, mentally, physically and
spiritually. She has developed her own unique blend of bodywork
utilizing the various disciplines she continues to research and study.
Being a devoted mother, as well as a master therapist, Kelley is available by appointment only. She holds classes throughout the year on fibromyalgia wellness, Reiki certification of all levels, as well as meditation and breathing methods. Kelley is a active member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals *ABMP.Email her at kelley@tmtmassage.com

Wendy
Goetz L.M.T.
We are happy to have Wendy join the
team at The Master Touch Therapeutic Massage. Her holistic attitudes and
spirit will provide a nurturing atmosphere and the best care to
her clients.
The holistic
lifestyle always appealed to Wendy, and now her goals are being
fulfilled as she works in environments that enrich the lives of both
herself and her clients.
Wendy's belief
system involves the essential theory of massage that is based on the
principle that the tissues of the body will function at optimal levels
when fluid supply and drainage are unimpeded. When this flow becomes
unbalanced for any reason (soreness from exercise, sprains, surgeries,
subluxations, habitual postures, etc.), possible muscle tightness and
changes in the nearby skin and fascia (a tissue that connects the skin
to the muscles) will ensue, which may produce pain. The basic techniques
of message are designed to reestablish proper fluid flow and are
directed at the skin, muscles, and fascia, although nerve pathway are
occasionally included. The various techniques of massage are
generally applied in the direction of the heart to stimulate increased
drainage from the involved tissues.
Different
combinations of techniques are used depending on objectives of
treatment. Treatment typically begins with more gentle techniques before
progressing to deeper, more aggressive applications. Your comfort level
is always the top concern.
Verbal
communication between the therapist and client is very important because
the therapist will use the cues given by the client as a guide to
treatment.
Wendy is available
Thursday, Friday, Sat. and Sunday
by appointment
only.
